buying/selling process on the forum?

So i've never bought or sold anything on a forum before, and in the future may want to sell a few things, not sure how to go about doing it or how the payment, or shipping thing works. any help would be appreciated.

Basically you use pay pal if you have to ship it. Local pickup can be cash or PayPal.

When somebody sends you a payment via PP you'll see their verified shipping address or they can request you ship elsewhere. Its polite to ship within 2 days of payment received.

When you sell stuff people will private message you all their info and at the time may negotiate pricing etc.

Its pretty straight forward, just make sure to follow the rules when you make your for sale add and keep it in the correct section.

alright so for selling make sure i receive the payment before i ship it, but ship it soon after the payment is received. but for buying, what happens if i make the payment but the seller never ships the item? does that mean i'm out all the money or what?

if you are the buyer, you are covered under paypal protection. The only way you aren't, is if you "gift" the money. NEVER GIFT MONEY! the reason why some people do, is that it negates the paypal fee (it's like 3% or 4%)
