burning smell...

When I went to start the car there was this really bad burning smell...it smelled like it was coming from behind the stereo so i pulled it out but didnt see anything out of the ordinary... but since I pulled the stereo there is still a burning smell and now one of my headlights isnt working and it was before. What the hell is going on?

u got a wire grounding out it sounds like to me. check ur fuses ones u find a blown one put a new one in and if it pops time to trace the wire from the back of the fuse box to where ever its headed and look for any pinched or broken wires.

I feel your pain..just got my DA, and the guy that owned it last did a terrible job of wiring the stereo...and it fried the harness from the stereo all the way to the instrument cluster.
