burning oil... fml

so yeah, had like no oil on the dipstick so i added a quart of full synthetic quaker stake, and a quart of lucas oil oil stabilizer... gonna change asap for full synthetic, just a couple questions, it holds 5 qts, not 4 right? anyone reccommend a particular brand of synthetic oil? has anyone ever used lucas oil oil stabilizerr before, and if so did it help...

I would recommend Mobil1 or Castrol. I prefer Mobil1 and i'm always left with about 1qt from a 5qt jug; :thumbs up

ok, so i think im gonna go castrol, thats what mini reccommends for my moms car, and i hear theyre really good, also Aqualite, by 3:1 you mean, for every 3 qts oil you add 1 of stabilizer? how has it worked for you so far, ive heard people say its not good for high revving engines, but id imagine 3-4 qts of oil thins it out a bit

I usually run pep boys 5qt special w/ filter but for oil additives I've used engine restorer 4cyl fluid . I've got some experience with it and I'd give it an A .
Failed smog > Oil change/Engine Restorer/93octane Fulltank > Passed smog .

4 1/2 i believe. and i always have used mobil1 10w-30.

i just put in 5w-30, i think im gonna go to 10w-30 though, until winter, then when it gets warm again go back.... anyone know whats recc. for a jdm b18c (gsr)? i thought it was 5w
