Built GSR Head

hey, I talked to a guy the other day, and he said he had a fully built ported and polished head for a gsr. It has skunk to springs and retainers. It was ported and polished by port flow. He wants to sell it to me for $800 without cams, and he also has type-r cams that he will give me for $100 extra. Will these cams work with this setup? Is this a good deal? I need help I am kinda new to the teg scene. Any feedback is appreciated. Oh I have a 97 gsr by the way. Thanks

im pretty sure that will work, that im not to sure on. but first off its skunk2 and secondly, see recipts for everything stated above, and find out how many miles are on it. it sounds like hes trying to rip you off to me...

I would'nt buy anything for my engine that another person has worked on. People think that just because someone says "fully built" that the part is in perfect running order. Dont be fulled, that's too much money to be handing out for your car. However, if you trust the guy then buy it.

you can get all that done NEW for around the same price, If not cheaper if you shop around.

ok thanks guys. Yea i dont really know this guy that well but I looked up the port and polish place and its $1000 for the job, and the springs and retainers are around $350
