Building Up

Okay so i have and LS and i am building up for a turbo and i want the most power out of it.

what things should i look into, to start building my way up to my turbo setup.

You forgot to mention your LS is automatic. There are endless possibilities, but then there are variables. I'm sure you have a budget right? What's that budget amount? How much HP do you REALLY want?

well im going to swap it and i am looking for 300whp


ohh and would it be better to have a gsr tranny or ls if i am boosting

LS tranny=longer gears

IMO

If you want 300whp out of an LS idk id say look into sleeving, new pistons, rods, valvesprings, maybe valves. and then like 20psi.

okayy well i was thinking would a gsr tranny wiht and LS 5th gear be better then just a LS tranny?

Well, the purpose of the LS 5th gear is to save gas during highway cruising. You don't wanna be running 65-70 @ 3K-3.5Krpm's lol. I got an LS with GSR tranny, it picks up nicely, but gas kills me.

You will be better off keeping an LS tranny in it if you plan on turbocharging it. The longer gears of the LS tranny will work better with boost
