Never a fan of running the Cometic headgasket for boost builds, some people swear by them, but I've seen a lot of failed ones, which leads to a lot of money and time fixing it. All the local shops here run OEM ones even for 400whp and up builds..

Don't expect to be comfortably DD 450 whp. That's not really streetable, anything over 350 or so is like traction at 80mph. The highest I'd street would be 350-400 maybe, that's with a backup car for foul weather etc.

Thats what I'm going to do after I get this built, I'm going to buy a $500 rusted out piece truck. Then I'm putting 7 1/2 tires up front with nitto drag radials.

dude, where the heck are you getting your information from? Do you daily drive a 450whp car or something?

1. I hook 60mph and on, 50mph if im lucky with nearly 450whp and 302ft lbs of torque on 205s. This car was perfectly streetable for me. I daily drove it for a year, to school, to work, through rush hour with zero problems.

Its all in how your car is setup. Carelessly saying xxx power level is unstreetable is horribly misguiding.

Ill say it again, its all in how your car is setup. There is no defined line of unstreetablility.

I did for a bit actually. I meant more in regards to winter etc ni this area. It snows a lot, and you and I both know that at that power it's not exactly a simple drive. And no offense to OP, but he sounds very "new" to the scene, so i don't know if he's sure what 450 at the wheels actually is, that's all.

well I sure as hell wouldnt drive a fast anything in the winter time. We get crazy winters here too, and even at stock power it sucked.

Id invest in another DD before doing ANYTHING motorwise to my car. Best thing you can have.. another car.
