Broken Stud!

So I was tightening down my valve cover and I guess I went a little too much on one of them. The nut on the left side of the valve cover broke off with the tip of the stud in it, my question is..how does that stud come out and get replaced? does it just screw out and the new one screw in??? please help

Yeah it screws out, just remove your valve cover again and get some vise grips or something and remove it back out that way. You can get a new one from a dealer or score one at ur local junkyard.
