There's a reason it's only $30. I will have to argue the "best stuff to use" statement. Fiberglass and some cheap Bondo product to "shave" anything on your car is going to be crap overtime -- especially on doors, edges, and other parts that are prone to slamming, flexing, etc. Your bond is going to be weakened and the only question is: "When?"

I hope you're not planning to get an expensive paint job.

Welding > filling.

Fillers should only be used to even out MINOR imperfections after you properly do the bodywork (which should look pretty close to perfect from the naked eye). It definitely should not be used to fill holes and never more than 1/8" in thickness (applied, not counting sanding).

first of all this is my third gsr and the third time im shaving my mouldings and it worked out just fine so i think i know what im doing second i dont fill in a big hole and there is not more then 1/8th of a inch of bondo they are minor imperfections and require very minimal sanding if you know how to do it. i will post pictures of it later on.

Just because it's your third time, it doesn't mean that it's the best method out there. I wasn't trying to be an asshole, I was just trying to be helpful. Kudos to you for mastering the 'Bondo-technique', but the holes left over from taking the moldings off should be welded shut, not filled. They're not exactly pin-sized holes, either and definitely not the "minor imperfections" you're talking about hopefully. I'm glad you know what you're doing, though.

Just an FYI, Evercoat's Rage Gold is the "best stuff" out there. Definitely superior to the Bondo brand.
