Brake pad and rotors

Hey guys,

New member of the clubintegra.com! Just purchased my 92 Integra LS about a week ago and I've fallen in love with it! Too bad the breaks sound a little dull and squeaky :( no problem though because I'm planning to change them soon after my insurance inspection. But my reason for posting was to ask you guys for some advice with break pads and rotors, HAWK ceramic NVH or HAWK HPS for pads? And for rotors, are cross drilled rotors recommended to have in Canada? Silly question right? But it was just a concern because it was the first time I've heard of them... Did I mention I'm new with cars and their parts? HAHA anyway, all the help would be appreciated!

first...why'd you spell brake right in the title, but repeatedly spell it wrong in your sentence.

second...is this going to be your DD/hard parker or...DD/occasional sprinting or what? personally i see no problem w/ a new set of blank rotors and some good pads. i wouldnt get drilled and slotted w/ the higher risk of cracking and basically drilled has no use except eye candy. seeing as though you are in canada, i'd believe that the rotors would have a higher possibility of cracking. with that said...AT MOST i'd get a set of slotted rotors and a good set of pads. i wish i could aim you in the correct direction of pads, but i've been out of the loop of performance and have just focused on hard parking. but i do remember ebc being good and the hawks being good as well. think the hps hawk pads create alot of brake dust, which if you are DD this, i doubt you always wanna run around w/ dirty wheels. hence why i just went with blank rotors and advance ceramic pads
