Brake light on dash stays on after releasing e-brake?

I noticed this a while back, but it hasn't done it since then til now. My brake light on my dash stays lit up when I release my e-brake. I noticed it had been somewhat cool inside when this happens could it be sticking? Or is there another colprate?

It goes off when the car warms up it seems so I have no idea. Any help would be great thanks

Mine has been doing the same exact thing. It's been gettinginto the mid 40's here also. Does your brake light go off when you hit the brakes then comes back on when released? Because mine does until the car is warmed up.

They seem to be working fine but I will be checking and probably topping off my brake fluid too.

I just had mine go away. I replaced my pads and rotors, checked fluid ,fully drained fluid, replaced, tightened e brake, ran sea from in BB. And made sure the wires on the cap had no contact as mine are just dangling there. Also I read about it before and the filter and it's known that the filter in the brake fluid container gets gunked up so clean that too... I have no clue what I had done to end it but it eventually went away after that list.

I bought my car and had that problem, next day it was gone, if I were you I'd replace my brake fluid though
