Brake clearance on HX wheels

Now i know i have seen pics of teggys with HX wheel on them. Im currently looking into buying a set of HX wheels for the winter and possible track use after the winter. When talking to the seller about the wheels he said something about him hearing they wont clear GSR brakes, which made me :shock: cause i want and need new tires which these HX wheels come with. SOOOO i wanted to ask the rest of you if there will be any problems that you know of if i am to buy these HX wheels with intensions of installing them on my car asap after buying them. thanx guys

what size are hx wheels? if there atleast 14s they should fit.

thats it. but this guy is tellin me they wont fit. sayin they dont fit on his 00 ex civic breaks.

ok they dont clear the brakes

so what people do is either put spacers on the lugnuts (bad idea)

or shave the calipers down a little bit with a grinder ....

I'd probably suggest not going with the HX wheels unless u want to run spacers or grind the calipers down.

IMO it is a lot of modifying to put on some stock Civic wheels.
