(TO HELP DEFINE WHAT I REFER TO AS A GRAVEL COVER ONE MAY CALL IT A DUST COVER )
91 Acura Integra B18 engine auto trans. Under and forward of the transmission on passengerside are plastic covers that seem to be gravel protection covers. One cover extends up into the passenger wheel well. Aside from being there for gravel debri protection do they serve any other purpose engine such as maybe help keep incoming radiator air from drafting down and bypassing the trans/engine?
Can they be left off? thanks
