Blown head

k heres the deal i replaced my cylinderhead with another one that i bought at the junkyard before you say anything i had it checked out and it was better than the one i took off now i replaced everything tightend everything down to spec new gaskets and all. Problem is after a week it blew the damn thing again:evil:.So im kind of pissed off, anyone have an insight to why this might have happened and has anyone else had the same problem before....sigh...:cry:

it what manner did it blow? coolant getting into the combustion chamber? did it overheat

I agree with Jim. "Blowing" a cylinder head is too vague to diagnose. I dont even know what a blown head looks like :what:

I suppose you can have a blown headgasket... or bent valves, bad valve seals, worn guides, or a crack in the head.
