ok, just a basis of what i know went wrong...

94 teg, auto, not much done to it

i did the city light mod, tapped into my parking lights and added 194 amber bulbs, and had them mounted in my high beams,

i had then disconnected the light sockets i added when i did an 01 front end swap with the new headlights...

i had added hids, ect... no problems there...

i took the hanging wires from the parking lights i tapped into, and connected a relay to a set of fog lights running off the battery, so they would come on with the running lights....

i added 194 blue led bulbs to my gauge cluster, had them for probably over a year,

one day it was raining very heavy, and in the rain far from a store at night, my dash/ headlight/ tag light fuse blew...

i thought it was just a mishap, replaced it, was fine for months...

rained heavy again, fuse blew again.... replaced it on the road, had it blow in a few mins, and then again instantly when i clicked the lights on...

i figured there was something wrong... I KNOW THIS IS STUPID< but its what happened.... i was on a trip back home and the fuse busted one last time, i had nothing left, the standard is a 10 or 15a fuse, and all i had was a 30a....

i had to get home, so i hoped maybe it would work just to get home...

that blew, i drove home with no lights at night, i think i held my high beams on which isn't good considering i have 3000k hids....

next morning i removed all existing wiring from the fog lights, all the hanging wires from the old city light splice, so nothing would touch, and replaced the fuse with the proper amp...

NOW, just my dash lights and climate illumination are completely shot, nothing there comes on.... also, when i go from lights off to just parking lights on, the headlights come on with the running lights, and when i turn to the standard headlight on switch, everything still remains on,

i can still turn everything off, in the "off" position...

i have since checked the dimmer switch and the dash light bulbs, all seem to be in working condition...

is there a control module in this car for the lights? or is it the light switch that might have blown or melted??

i also have a super AFCII tapped into my computer wires, thinking if anything could have happened there, but i have since driven in worse rain with no problems,

still have no dash lights or climate lights coming on at all... parking and tag lights work fine... like i said i know it was stupid to put a 30a fuse in, but it was my only choice given the circumstances and it was a long time ago, im just trying to go through and fix my mess ups... any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

thanks all

Chris

Seems like you must of damaged the headlights wires, I would go thru the harness and see what is melted toghter. I seen this happen so many times.

blowing fuses means that you have a short somewhere. i had the same problem with my parking lights when i would hit a bump i had to remove the dash to find two wires a power and a ground shorting. Look around at the power wires and find one thats exposed. Thats the culprit. A power going to ground will blow the fuse
