So I was looking on eBay and I found a couple different intakes one is a skunk2 one is a blox and the last is a no name boxy looking one skunk2 is 300 shipped the blox is 190 the no name is 80 anyone have any idea the difference between the skunk and blox I'm not really considering the no name one account of the fact that it looks like someone made it in their garage. Or should I go for itbs? No idea the difference between any of them I'm a newb.

I presume you mean intake manifold judging from the prices, so I am answering on that assumption. I prefer the type R oem one myself, and I have tried a few different ones. A lot of it depends what you are doing otherwise as far as modifications, but the type R one is usually cheaper, has great oem fitment, and flows good, and you can port it to flow even better if you want. Hope that helps, if you give more details about your setup I could probably help more.

tbh, It's not really an upgrade I'd worry about unless you're going turbo.

dont put cheap upgrades on a rare b17a1 just save your money and get ur self an oem type r manifold. or leave it stock.

skunk2 is not what I'd consider "cheap"..

Basically, you won't see much benefit from installing an aftermarket intake mani on its own (cheap or otherwise) without doing further modifications to the engine.
Best thing you can do is research, figure out what you want out of your car and going from there.
Slapping a bunch of parts on that you have no clue how they work (and work together) won't get you very far and will likely leave you disappointed, with a thinner wallet.
