If you are wondering about how to identify most honda motors look at the following picture. Every B,D,H,ZC series motor has a stamp in the same spot (circled in yellow). Read the stamp and that's the type of engine block you have (if stock, of course. With ls/vtec its a takes a couple more steps to take determining what head unit you have + block).
As for the turbo, how many miles are on your b20? Check the compression ratio also. It's not worth boosting an older car if the engine isn't healthy. If you are not aware about all the things of a turbo i suggest researching a lot. Check up people's build threads on this forum. As for the amount of parts you will be needing, I'll name a couple off the top of my mind -
-turbo manifold
-downpipe - exhaust
-wide band o2 sensor
-intercooler
-pipings
-blow off valve
-turbo wastegate
-drill a hole in the oil pan to feed an oil line to the turbo
- turbo itself.
-turbo timer, boost controller
- depending on how big your turbo is you may need to upgrade fuel injectors
- research what type of turbo (size) is safe to run on your car at a specific amount of boost.
- upgrade ecu to compensate with all of the air flow your car will be forced with
- Most importantly - you need a tune from a professional turbo tuner. This will unlock hp and keep your car still reliable. Please note driving an untuned car is dangerous for you and your car.
Other power making options - intake/header/exhaust. Upgrade camshaft/camgears/injectors, ecu tune.
