Hey Y'all, Just noticed my battery light came on today but all my electrical is working fine and the car starts as per normal. Over all no signs of a weak battery. Not to mention its fairly new. Wondering if maybe my alternator is on the way out or maybe its as simple to the fact that its -7 outside and like -20 with wind chill. Is it possible the extrem coldness is making the battery light come on> any thoughts are appreciated

Turn off all your electronics, rev the car up and hold it up for awhile. See if it goes off.
Chances are the alternator is going bad. If it IS bad, your car will pull power from your battery until it kills it.
