Backlights????

so for some reason, when i push my brake when i start my car all of my back lights come on. i mean my gauge lights, clock, radio. All of it. its kinda weird. i pushed in my clutch and brake one time and without turing my car on all those lights come on...its done it noe on and off for like a month. it hasnt been a issue, but wondering what could cause that, and if it has happened to any of you???

you could study a wiring diagram from the factory service manual, trying to find any common wiring routings for the circuits affected. it's possible two wires are touching, and the brake light switch is powering all of those circuits. and the clutch switch could be problematic, too.

lol. no the headlights dont come on. im not gonna worry about it if its not a problem, i actually think its kinda cool. but your probably right. a short somewhere. i was really just trying to figure out if its a common thing...
