does $1000-1200 sound high for a b20 v conversion

parts labor and tune....

sounded a bit high to me but idk to much about the parts and labor

and whats it called when they do something to the valves when ur going v so they
wont hit or something like that?

and which head is better for b20

b16 or a b18 head?

hmm well i guess ima go v and buy rims and tires later

but my qeustion was never answered about the valves hitting?

are they sopposed to do that job?
should it be with the price already?

The head will cost you 500 alone. To get it to bolt up to the block and run the oil feed another 100. Another 100 for the ECU. Then you need to hook up the VTEC wire. And not to mention 90-120 for head bolts. You should also replace the rod bolts to SAFELY spin the engine up to 8500rpm, but thats probably not something you were thinking about. (which will inflate the cost)

This isnt including labor. 1000 is cheap, and you could have priced things out yourself to get a better picture of things.

A tune may be $300, or more.

The valves wont hit the pistons, unless you upgrade to some pistons with a really high dome, and to some cams with a lot of lift and duration.
