hey guys i currently have a stock B20 in my 92 integra, i'm new to the integra world, i also own a 93 acura legend. I was looking into putting a gsr vtec usdm head on the b20, would that work? if so what performance gains am i looking at? any help would be appreciated, thanks

Thats what ls vtec is bro, you'll need the Golden Eagle oil line kit, vtec pistons, new ecu and other things. I do know that much in detail bout the ls/vtec swap, but other members should!

All of the above exept you cant swap any other oem piston in the b20, bore on it is 84mm, b16,b18 81mm, gotta use the stock ones or aftermarket, another thing b20 block dont like boost at all on the stock block, theyre sleeves are garbage past 5psi, they will crack, so if boosting get a b18b block

B20 what? The b20s in the early prelude were shit. if you have one of those toss it.

Im pretty sure its a Crv-b20, the prelude b20's dont just drop in like other B-series, the mounts are different and the tranny is wack!

You'll have to change the sleeves which is around $1000 parts and labor, X 240 owner Hell Yeah! I've own three of them 90, 91, 93 all black hatchs lol!

Yes what he said is right, because the b20 slevees are one piece theyre not separated like the other b series motors, so at high comp they no not have any flex at all because theyre one piece with the block so the only was to relieve that stress is by cracking, plus the slevees themselves are skinier that the other b18's which is not good at all for boosted applicatios, just get a b18b and of yow want displacemet bore it out, remeber bu boring out you will make the slevees skinnier but because theire not one pice like the b20 plus if you slevee it it would be a killer reliable boosted teg, but the a nice CRVvtec NA build is a killer too built right, torque would be alot more than a built GSR motor

yea your better of getting a ls motor and putting a gsr head and going that route, would be a lil less in your pockets but thats just my .02 cents

Yeah but if he's going for TQ then the B20 Will be best, boring the LS out to be a 2.0 would cast about the same.
