wasup peolpe had a ? about the state ref. would it be possible to pass using a gsr head and block even if they are different year (ex: 95 gsr head with 96-99 gsr block) and also how can i find out if the block is stolen on the 95 gsr block with out vin plate..... thanks....:what:

I would assume it wouldn't pass because it's mixing OBD1 and OBD2 parts...
It's only a guess

On top of that, especially if the vin has been grinded off... Suspicious. :shock:

It also depends if you have JDM or USDM.
You will need to change some things on the JDM engine in order to pass.
Some Reff will look away if everything was swapped correctly.

its a 95 usdm gsr and ive been reading that the vin plates didnt start untill 96 so how would i be able to check if its only got the b18c1 stamp and 7 digit # under that....

as long as the block and head are newer than your car you are fine, as far as the vin plates, it started late 95. How do i know? i have an obd1 gsr motor with the oil cooler and a vin plate. They can tell if the block is hot by running the numbers below the b18C1 on the block

good to know.. so say i have a 95 obd1 head and happen to use a different year block its not gonna be an issue as long as the setup is still obd1... thanks for all the help.... :what:
