B18b on B18a Head swap?

Yes the blocks are basically the same so the heads are interchangeable. IMO, the gains you will get from this aren't worth the hassle. You're probably talking a 3-5 HP gain. If that.

Yes you can. I have one on my B18A block.

why not get a vtec head?

Yeah you can do that and its pretty easy to do but your going to need new head bolts wich are kinda pricy considering your not really going to gain anything, you would gain more with a b20 head beacuse it has bigger valves and flows better. But on a side note i would replace the timing belt while your at it...

maybe i'll go vtec later on but i'm thinking the b20 head for now
So here is the things i need correct me if i'm wrong
-b20 head(including intake manifold)
-New Head gasket
-new timing belt(for b20 motor right?)
-Not sure but i still need the new head bolts right?
-Exhaust manifold(does the b18 one fit?)
-obd0,1?
-What Distributor?
