b18a1 rebuild

Hi im new on the site but not to honda/acuras im am doing a full rebuild on a b18a1 and i have got bout half done i recently put in valve spings and keepers in ....were im stuck is... since im putting all factory internals back do i still need to measure the valve clearance/rocker arm clearance or would they start out at a basic clearence and they with upgrades u adjust them ??? also with just a factory rebuild should platicgauge be used to optimize the performance...or since its all factory settings it should fall into place,i have been researching found useful info but not exactly what im looking for so i signed up here maybe for help/advise from peeps that might know more then me.

When you say "putting all factory internals back" what parts exactly are you replacing, if any?

Are you replacing the bearings? Are you using the same color bearings?
Im not sure I understand what you mean by "valve clearance/rocker arm clearance". Are you talking about setting valve lash - which is between cam and rocker.

My best recommendation for anyone attempting a serious rebuild would be to get a copy of the factory service manual.
