b18a1 piston help

im having trouble finding 81.5 or 82mm pistons. new or used, with or with out rings. do you guys have any suggestions of where i could get them? also, what other pistons would i be able to put in there that are stock on a honda series motor, that would raise my compression? i am racing in a class where all motor parts must be stock. + - alttile wiggle room so bottom line: where should i look for pistons? and which stock pistons will give me the highest compression ratio?

Honda sells over sized pistons, you could put b16 pistons in there to raise compression.

im looking for something for under 200$ for 4 of em, but ill buy what i can get. do you know how much the b16 pistons raise the compression? will they clear the valves?

The pistons would be under 200 bucks, they come out to 185.32 before tax, the rings are 105.92...so right around 300 bucks for pistons and rings. Theres compression calculators out there, it depends on what layer headgasket you go with. Goto yahoo and type in Honda Compression Calculator

One of the piston sets on the ebay link say B16, but they are ITR style. Figured I would point that out.

i got the 3 layer hg. i didnt know thinner ones were available. where should i be able to get them? with b16 pistons would i have to retune?

Yeah it'll need retuned. Anytime you do internal work and even heavy bolt on mods the car should be retuned

Hey thanks man, nope haven't dyno'd it. its just street tuned for now while its all motor. I am trying to finish the turbo setup up by april. I would guesstimate its around 170whp..maybe less maybe more. I know it pulls hard as all get out soon as vtec engages lol.

only 170 right now! dang it looks alot more powerfull than that XD looks atleast 200. how much boost will you be running?
