b18a our b18b head

there might have been a thread about this all ready but i guess i suck when it comes to typing the right words to find what im looking for. i b18a1 motor 40 over which is 82mm and want to get the most out of it. putting studs in it to hold for nitrous and i beam rods so far. i plan on getting the brian crower cams and springs i think the numbers r 314 lift not sure its the biggest for our cars that are not running turbo. anyways before i order the cams i want to know should i go with the b18b head our stay with the b18a head. plan on having either one ported and polished. also should i put bigger valves as well. going to get the edelbrock intake and 68mm throtttle body as well. hoping for a whole lot of horsepower will see. doing all of this im planning on going bigger with my exhaust is 3 inch going to be to,no cat and no res either. all help is appreciated thanks

You're dead set on non-vtec, find yourself a P8R head. 33mm valves are bigger than oversized 31mm valves (which end up being 31.5mm). You will get more out of a porter P8R than a P75 or PR4.

If anyone wants to delve deeper in th p8r please do, I don't have the time to on my phone.

im new to the hondas man so u will have to speak to me like im an idiot.lol im guessing thats the model number off the heads but what is the motor they came off. ive been wanting to go with the vtec. i know this is asked a lot give me the link if you will but isnt it a whole lot of wiring to do to switch the ecus and distributors cost a shit load. also finding vtec heads and parts around here is like asking megan fox to come to your house and let you and your friends run a train just isnt going to happen, and dont want to buy a new one cause there out there in price.

thanks for the info but im pretty sure i am going to stay with the non vtec setup. ive been reading and talking to people about it and what i have realized is that building the b18a1 with the bigger valves, cams, and double springs then throwing on the cam gears i will make more power then throwing a vtec head on there. im going to go with the high compression setup 40 over shaving the head, pnp and this is the equipment im thinking of putting in it http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/brian-crower/b18ab18b.html i really would like to do the stroker kit but its way to expensive for the power it will create. then when i get that finished with it and the suspension, transmission and some extra dress up pieces im thinking about throwing a jackson supercharger on it instead of using the turbo. i had the pleasure of seeing one with 650 whp in a 94 teg. was freaking sweet.
