first off you can put stage 2 cams in your LS, a good company that makes non vtec cams are brian crower, depending on the stage you may need upgrades to the head and valvetrain like valve springs and retainers, stage one most of the time you can drop right in same goes with stage two, But you will need more compression to run your cams because when you install them there going to lower c/r so support them with High Comp pistons, then after that get a good tune or you will regret it!
