i have a b16 in my 1995 integra right now to drive to work and such. well it just doesnt have the power i want. i was wondering if i could swap the b16 bottom end out with a gsr and put p30 pistons in. zeal autowerks compression calculator say the compression is 11.3 thats enough for me but would it be any faster than a whole gsr swap??? also. will the b16 main caps and girdle fit the gsr block?

everything fits...but why do you have a b16n in an integra?
the jdm b16 was free from a friend who didnt have the money to do the swap in his eg civic. so i gladly took it off his hands. he owed me money so i just took that instead cuz i needed a motor to swap in to my integra since it didnt have a motor either lol

That thing has got to be a torque monster.
the b16 sucks as far as power in general. lol the gsr block should make up for the lost power i think. especially on high compression pistons correct?

Yes, you will definitely have more torque with a B18C1 block. If you really want more torque, I'd get a B20 block.

tru tru well i found a guy selling his gsr bottom end disassembled for 250. but we just made a deal a used stage 3 clutch, dc sprts headers and 50 for the block, crank, pistons, rods. its needs main caps(which i can use my b16 caps) and the girdle. i have the gsr one already. so i dont think its a bad idea

Don't do it!

long story short not worth the time and effort to do that work. invest in turbo or forced induction supporting mods if you have horse of your gsr motor. This guy i know thought he could get more out of his gsr with a b16a head and told me it was a major regrett as far as his cars have gone.

yeah a turbo could do better but then there are guys like me who preffere to make as much power on ALL MOTOR :)
