IMO I think the B16 is better for smaller vehicles such as the DA and anything smaller.

The VTEC on your B16 works and everything is there?

The B16 has less torue than the B20.
The B16 has VTEC the B20 doesn't.
The B16 is shorter stroke so RPM's are higher
The B20 can be turbo'd easy and make more power.

B20 block with a B16 head. CRVTEC FTW.

If you have the B16, go with that. No point in waisting money on something you don't have to.

B16A is a great engine. I've had quite a few in a few of my cars. There's one in my DB2 right now.

If you're looking for a how-to guide on building one up go look through the Engine/ Drivetrain forums on here or H-T. A lot of people do good write ups on this engine in particular.

90 + Integra's came stock with a 1.8 Liter engine. If you decide to go with the b16 just know that you'll be downgrading in displacement, .2liters. Most power hungry fiends want too upgrade in displacement, not downgrade.

The B16 is only a downgrade in Torque. The B18A has less HP and less flowing head. The B16 is 160hp compared to 130hp.

B18A around 130lbs torque..
B16A 111lbs?

If turbos were easy to bolt on safely + efficiently, while being able to actually understand the concept of how it works, everyone on this site would have one.

Easiest way to upgrade performance, Bolt on parts. Upgrade your intake, exhaust manifold, exhaust system, suspension and brake systems.

Turbos are safe, just have to get a proper tune, to do it right. I'm sure people know how they work, its the money factor, I guess what makes them less popular around here. I/H/E doesn't create alot of power.

upgrade ur plugs do bolt ons and have the head polished. that will give u enough to fill some more power. but if you have the money my buddy just did a turbo on his civic hatch and only running 6 lbs. it wooooped my 06 civic ex that would keep up wit my teg. its an all stock motor that came with 100 whp single cam non vtec. hes easily pushing 160. thats the easiest way to add lots of power. but if you have obd 2 u have to switch to an obd1 or if you have obd 0 you have to pull it apart and see if you have an 28 prong i guess its called a chip i forgot the actual term then uprade to 440 injectors with resistors at least a 21/2 inch exhaust preferably opened. the reason for the ecu is for the chipping and tunning process. theres a few other things you have to do before tis ready for your turbo and to be tuned. a shit ton of stuff but is deffinately worth it. hope that helps you any

NO TURBO! if you put a turbo on your car your going to b spending a butload of cash. Go with exhaust, intake, good plugs and wires, strut tower bars, and a clutch and flywheel. If you really want to get a little more performance get new cams and cam gears, tune and chip the ecu and upgrade your fuel rail, valves and throttle body.
