B18A1 Turbo Smoking...

Ok so i have another smoking problem, but this one is interesting... Ok so when my car is at operating temp and im cruising then i slow down with out pressing the brake and with out pushing clutch in the vehicle will start to smoke pretty heavily only happens when the vehicle is under vacuum and doesnt smoke when im accelerating or cruising, only when its under vacuum...???

Sounds like the turbo or valve seals, I'd inspect the turbo for oil leaks check all the seals etc, Than you can do a compression test and leak down test and that'll tell you what's going on in the motor, valve seals, rings, etc. Most likely sounds like turbo to me

If it was seals or turbo wouldnt you think it would smoke all the time? leak down, compression test are beautiful. just recently had the intake mani off and exhaust mani and visually checked valve seals and did not see any leaking.. When im driving and i look at my boost gauge just normal cruising around 5 to 10% trottle my car reads between 10 to 15 IN.HG of vacuum but when i take my foot off the gas and slow down with the motor it reads between 20 to 25 IN.HG depending what gear and how fast im going, and when im at idle my car reads about 20 IN.HG of vacuum, only when my car is 20 or more IN.HG it smokes.... I was thinking that maybe it has something to do with the PCV system sucking in oil when under alot of vacuum? Any body have any other ideas??

Also i had the turbo off the same time i had the exhaust mani off and i checked for leaks and play and none found, also the smoking was there even before taking everything off. So i dont think its the seals or turbo...

Smoking under vac is valve seals. You need to get your head serviced. High mileage heads have worn valve guides which allows the valves to wobble ruining the valve seal.
