Axle Replacement..Help!

Hello all, So I bought a DA this past weekend and it didn't come with a cv axle on the driver side. I bought one from Pep Boys and installed it last night. When I installed it my dad was telling me it didn't look right and was too short. When I was trying to drive down the street it was clanking so I stopped and tried to go in reverse and it was doing the same. I turn the car off and push it back in place and there's two bearings on the street. I called Pep Boys and they told me they might have mis boxed the axle and given me the wrong one. Is there a chance it could be something else? Or is did they just give me the wrong axle? I need help thank you :x

It would be unlikely it would be something else. I mean, there could be an issue with the intermediate shaft, but I work on hondas for a living and I have never seen that myself. I would get the right one and then see how it goes together from there, I doubt its anything beyond that especially being the driver side that doesn't even go into the actual transmission.

I got another one and installed it and it doesn't seem to fit right either. It's too stretched out. Looks like if I drove it's just gonna snap like the last one. I measured how long of an axle I need and it turns out to be around 26 inches and the last two I've had were both 24 inches. I don't understand why they are not fitting right.

wrong intermediate shaft maybe or different hub on it possibly, those are just guesses though. Does it have the stock transmission still?

I just got a hold of the last owner and he says it's a jdm tranny. i was told i need to get a usdm intermediate shaft. but then i'm told usdm and jdm shafts are the same.
