AWD Teg?

So if i was thinking about doing a awd conversion could i keep my stock tranny or would i have to get a new tranny and a transfercase as well? I know there is way more stuff i would have to buy too. but I figured i would start here

its rare to find the drivetrain for an awd integra. but i'd most likely think you'd have to use the complete awd system.

You could keep your FWD transmission and have a second transmission in the rear, and your main tranny will power the second tranmission via Bluetooth..

There was a 4WD/FWD/RWD Integra made by Braille ( I believe the same company that makes super lightweight batteries)

Search out "Braille Auto Integra" if you want some more info on it. I couldnt find a specific source of info on it.

why would you even bother putting money into an awd teg? you can buy a higher mileage wrx(140-160k miles) for like 6 grand now.. 1. subarus last forever 2. your already at 230hp stock and all you have to do is slap on some bolt ons and get it tuned and youll be up around the 250hp at the wheels 3.the motor is already built for boost so instead of just running 6lbs on a stock honda block you could actually run some decent boost levels without being scared your motor is going to be a bunch of little metal piece when it starts spoolin

yea awd teggy i have been doing some looking around on that topic. i t hink there is a awd teggy but its jdm only and trying to find one is like lookig for a hot chick that cooks n cleans. ill look it up. but that crv swap is the shit but your awd only works to 25 wich is okay cuz off the line you will have more traction but your fwd at high speeds wich aint bad . but it will take lots of work and fab

doesnt suprise me that car was slow or the driver was slow or something...it was out handled by a ls swapped eg. i think if i had the experience i have no i would have killed it

i know i saw pics on a subie forum of a man who cut the body off a wrx and replaced it with a civic hatch. That way he had the looks he wanted with the performance/drive train he wanted. Doing that wouldnt be an awd teg exactly, but people on the street would be none the wiser.

The Integra is good for what it is...a FWD sport car, that fit 2 people compertable, while being able to carry an ass loud of stuff under the hatch and back seat.

that del sol...what tranny was being used? It must of has some torqy gears..and all the extra drive train just made it more heavy than what it was already.
