AutoX questions

I just bought a 98 LS that I will be using as a daily driver and autocross car. I have some questions about setting it up for autocross. I have been autocrossing for about 11 years and have run a variety of different cars. I have been driving a Miata in ES for the last few years and got tired of transporting and changing race tires. I am planning on running my Integra in ST.

1. I would like to run the 225/45/15 Hankook RS3s. I know that there are 15x7.5 wheels out there (Rota Slipstreams, 6UL). What offset is necessary to make these fit? What other options/brands are out there? Does anyone have any for sale?

2. What is a good coilover set-up? I assume that I want stiffer springs in the rear. Does anyone have any for sale?

3. I know that I want to run a bigger rear sway bar (at least 22mm). What is the popular rear bar and brace? There seem to be a lot of options. Does anyone one for sale?

4. I want replace all the suspension bushings with poly when I install the coilovers and rear bar. Is there anything else that I should install/replace when I have it all apart?

I welcome any other suggestions or tips.

Welcome to CI!

I don't have much advice to give you here other than for number 3. The most popular brace around here seems to be the ASR rear subframe brace. A lot of people pair that with a 22mm ITR rear sway bar, but whether or not you want to go with this bar or another (whether smaller or bigger) is all up to personal preference and your setup. Best of luck with prepping your Teggy for AutoX.

For number 4 on your list and number 2

Number 2, i would look into the ksport coilovers, they have a few to choose from and arnt the most expensive yet get the job done really well.

Number 4, id replace your front n rear camber kit, i would also get a nice rotor and pad package to replace what is there since ull have that all apart anyways. But that bushing kit and coilovers take care of most of the drivetrain. Only other thing you could really look at is replacing front and rear control arms...

the 225 will be fine with the rota slip stream ride height, yo may encounter problems with rubbing however, I have 215/45/16 azenis rt-615K for circuit and i encounter rubbing on the inner fender lip, if you bang that back or cut if off, you wont have a real problem. Also i recomend rolling your fenders,

2. a good coilover would be koni ground control with prob 10k front 8k rear springs.

3. ASR brace or the Beaks subframe kit are necessary for a 22mm sway

trailing arm etc.

I have ordered some parts. I went with the Progress 24mm rear sway bar with reinforcement brackets, Progress CSII 350/500 coilovers, Progress front and rear camber kits, and ES bushings. I am looking at either the Rota Slipstream or TR CC1 wheels in 15x7.5 with the 225/45s. The Rotas have a 40ET offset and the TRs have a 42ET offset.

i might be wrong on this because it's been a couple of years since i really read the rules but i thought you can only run up to 7.0 width on wheels in ST class.

7.5" wide wheels with 225mm tires are the limits.
