any one know anything about autometer sport comps. i got it when i bought the car a few months ago. but i noticed it would stop working but after i restarted the car it works fine. well now it dont work now. when u start the car it moves then it drops right back to 0 and wont move. the light lights up and i tested for ac right at the tach and it seems to be getting the tach signal. so any ideas? there are 2 looped wires that are behind it to. one was connected and the other was not but was stripped on both ends just chilling there

sometimes, if the wire was just hangin there it could have been fine one moment and bad the next. but that shoudl be the first thing you check when something electrical doesnt work.

well the 2 looped wires are are for setup for engine type. i was reading up on it and u cut the 2 loops for a 4 cylinder. i tested the tack wire for ac and i tested the ignition wire and both had voltage and i know the light wire gets just cause the back light turns on when i turn the lights on. ill run a new ground tomorrow and hopefully it does the trick if not im gonna send it in for service cause i dont feel like spending 200 bucks on a new one lol

yeah i did i actualy soldered the tach wire at the tach cause the guy before me had it just twisted together and taped half ass. i cleaned up alot of the wire mess that was in the car. its a ls with a gsr swap and its got the apexi 2 controller wired in so there was alot of wires every where and twisted and taped shitty so i went thru every thing and cleaned and soldered every thing up
