auto trans problems

Sin e I got this car the s3 light has constantly flashed and I know if it was working g correctly it wouldn't let you go into forth hear so it might explain why im not able to keep the car in forth while driving. It wants to constantly jump out. Is there some way of fixing this temporary. At least until I get my 5accord speed stuff for my conversion

Sorry for all the miss words didn't have time to check it. And just because its auto doesn't mean it can't jump out of gear.it goes into forth if I barely touch the gas but if I push the pedal just a little you feel it jump down a gear and stay there unless ur letting g off the gas then it will go back in. Real sluggish moving in all gears till very high rpms like 5000 plus then it feels like it has power. I know in my Accord when the s light would flash something in the trans was messed up and mi e was the speed sensor on it. This one works its off by about 5 mph but still works. Didn't know if maybe that had an affect t with it r maybe something else was causing the issue. I just want o make sure the piece of shit tranny is going to last until I get the rest of my swap parts

I will say it again. Auto trans on tegs are some of the worst trannies out there. Tegs just were not made to have then on there. Its like Honda was like, well after we designed and spent a ton of money on 5 speed and GSR's lets sslap an auto tranny on some and call it a day. Lmao

It seems like your passing gear, when you're in 4th, and you step on the gas, it is supposed to downshift into 3rd allowing the revvs to go up making more power. Its a standard feature. First thing i would do a drain N' refill 3 times (just so all the old fluid is out) than, adjust the cable, its a cable that's connected to your butterfly, it goes back down to the front of the transmission into a lever. its 2 12mm nuts, loosen the cable so there is NO tension, make sure you can pull the cable and it has slack. if you're not sure, i can post a video.

I will say it again. Early model Honda/Acura Auto trans are some of the worst trannies out there.

oops, I thought this was 3rd Gen, ifail. ^what i said above wouldn't work for you, you have no shift cable that connects to the Plenum. Change your transmission fluid.

Lol to both replies. I totally agree with autos should have never seen the day in a Tegg.and if its just the kick down on it I don't care. But the fluid is now nice and shiny red. I forgot this isn't the one on my pics but it still is a da9. Decided to scrap the one in the pics and transfer all my new suspension to this gs. Frame and body I know a lot better shape and need that if im going to hit 500whp safely.
