i was just wondering if me manually shifting my automatoc 01 integra is bad for the tranny ? i searched other forums and other people say that neutral drops are bad but not manually shifting my tranny. they just said not to downshift it. so all you auto teg owners do you know the answers to my questions ? any advice is appreciated thanks.

yes..it is bad for it...auto's are ment to AUTOMATICLY shift...the only reason ever to use the 1, 2 , or 3 is if you are towing...or going up big hills...etc

the car shifts slower, just leave it in drive. I used to have a 94 accord ex auto

oh okay because over at super honda forums everybody is like no it aint bad and they were trying to teach another guy how to properly shift his auto but i had my doubts because i know a friend that broke his tranny by doing that. im glad i came to an all integra forum to find out. thanks guys anybody have any bad experiences with shifting their auto tranny ?

My buddy used to do it in his car, and never had a problem. We just did a 5 speed swap, so he cant anymore.
