I got those in the front of my teg. They are awsome and I love them. Their a little of a bitch to install you have to take the stock speaker cone and cut it. Tweeters install easily.

You cant go wrong with these speakers. You will want some speakers in the rear with some base though because the fronts will not give you much base

Aite cool, just wanted to make sure I wasn't. Anyway, I have a Sony Xplod head unit right now, but the sound quality sucks cuz I still have stock speakers. I wanna get components up front and regular coaxles in the rear. I was wondering if you would recommend me getting an amp to enhance the sound quality.

when you are replacing stock speakers, no need for an amp, especially if you have atleast a decent aftermarket HU. The only real time you need an amp is ofcourse for subs or when you add on more speakers (even tho i added 4 extra speakers with highs&mids and no amp lol) but more power = cleaner sound. But make sure if you add an amp, that your speakers can handle the extra power.

exactly, it's not necessary to, but the improvement in sound quality makes it well worth it. the good thing about building a sound system is, you dont need to do everything at once, most things will work as direct upgrades. my dc4 ran upgraded speakers w/o amp, and it's decent, but in no way can it compare to my amp powered infinity's in my da. even upgraded HUs have their limits, be sure to stay within it, or you can end up damaging the upgraded speakers.

as for infinity's the sound it offers is crisp and clear. it's response to bass isnt very high, but if you're building on clarity, infinity's are a good start. if bass is what you're looking for, get a sub.

Exactly! I'm looking for clarity more than bass. I'm avoiding getting a sub because of the increased wieght. My DB8 is not a show car anyway. Thanks for your input!

i have infinity's all around wired to a 4ch, i like it for its clarity. however i heard my friends JL 6x9's. wow those suckers were crisp with some solid bass. i can only imagine the front compnents are even ebtter.

so i can go ahead and install my polk components up front and polk 2-ways in the rear for right now and get an amp later? how difficult would it be to re-wire the whole thing when i DO get an amp?
