Audio brand tips

Most of us love to spend money on the box we have in the trunk....name brands that are guaranteed to provide the power that we are paying for. what are some of the best brands in speakers, amplifiers and subwoofers.

I personally reccomend Autotek. I bought two 12s and a 750watt amp and I was making buggers fall out of my passengers' noses. that was a while ago and those speakers are still sitting in my 98 eclipse but I want something for my Integra. any tips?

I'm running a 12" Kenwood 350RMS sub with a Sony 1100Wpeak (yea right), 350RMS amp. Custom box with poly fill to give me the most space in the trunk. Knukonceptz RCA cables. Gives me some fair bass to make the music sound full. Pioneer 3-way 6-1/2 in the doors, MBQuart tweeters, MBQuart 6x9's in the rear.

I'm not a fan of the setups where you cannot hear the music, and everything rattles on your trunk. Those people look like idiots IMO. At least secure everything and dynamat your trunk so that your car doesn't sound like it is falling apart.

i have two 12" orion subs at 500rms each and an orion hcca 1200 watt amp in a ported box. It's pretty loud but it sounds like its falling apart (pretty much all of my clips are broken in the trunk haha). And my box is too tall so i had to take my rear shelf out which doesnt help. Im thinking about putting that setup im my jeep though and buying a pioneer 12" one of the flat ones im not sure what they're called though

lol I know I've seen those rattlers at the stoplights...I just want a clean bass hit that is felt inside the car and a clean voice sound. I'm over that "look at me I got loud speakers thing" I just want something clean that is good quality and powerful inside the car.

i custom made my 2 square foot ported box= $55
my sub is an FI BTL 2000 rms= $480 shipped
my amp is an auto tek 1900ss 2 channel bridgeable so i am running 1900 rms to my sub= $745
40' of stinger 0 guage wire= $235
kinetek car audio battery= $250
stinger rca cable $25
dyno mat $160
61/2 2 way memphis audio speakers in doors and rear $150
i have alot of money into this system but i can out thump any 2 top brand subs

sweet....I bet the the feeling of out thumping the others is 'priceless' hehe

that's a lot of money...I woudl be willing to spend money again on autotek..I think it's worth the price but 745 for an amp is crazy maybe I'll have to borrow the 500ss from my eclipse,.,,

you have no idea how priceless it is i spanked a dudes ass the other day he has 3 jl w7s and i made him leave pissed off cause he could not hit harder than me. yeah and as far as the cost on the amp it is well worth it i do alot of comps so i have to have the power to stomp some asses. cause the only class i can run in is the 2 sub max class because my subs rms is to high for the single sub class and let me tell you waht i have made alot of guys really really pissed off. so worth it cant wait till the next comp to piss of somemore guys

thanks Ryan I'll be sure to check out the link and I'm sure you enjoy kicking the JL W's I've heard a lot about those but it's like the kickers comp...a lot of talk but no results.
