Do I Need To Buy An Armrest Eliminator If I Wnat To Install My Recar Seats?

I've heard with the JDM Recaro's you need to have the arm rest eliminator, but then I saw a EK at a car show with the dang arm rest in there. So maybe in the EK but I'm not 100% about DCs.
