anybody know of a head unit satisfying these properties?

Hey,

So I don't have my new car yet and hopefully it has a double din unit, but regardless of size I think someone here can help me. I'm looking for a system that only has Navigation and USB connection for ipod with charging. That is absolutely all I care about, I don't need radio and I don't need DVD.. I'm pretty sure it would be difficult to find one without radio, and I certainly don't care if it's on there, but I don't need it.. It will probably also have a CD player, but also do not need it as long as it has the ipod jack. I can't seem to find in dash navigation systems that don't have dvd! Sure dvd is great but all it is doing for me is jacking up the price. I want to spend under 200 definitely...

Thanks for all help.

I doubt you can find that in your price range. Sat nav is expensive

Cheapest I'm seeing them is $400. Crutchfield is having a sale for July 4th on some of their in-dash nav systems. Still out of your price range but worth checking out.

its hard to find a decent double din period for under 200. and if you do find one its going to be very used or very cheap.

I mean.. I can easily get portable satellite gps navigation systems (the ones that you just mount onto your dash with suction cup) for under 100... why does the technology cost more for it to be built into the dash? You figure the price of a headunit can be as low as 100, portable decent navigation systems around 100... I don't see why the price goes up for in dash navi. Whatever I will do my best looking around then. Thanks for the help

From y understanding don't you need DVDs to update navigation systems or is that just with the luxury vehicles that have em stock?
