any suggestion to b00st my trans??

wuts up, got a 90 integg in good condition. bought it for $900 with a semi-bad trans. now that it has locked up on me, im replacing it with a fresh working one. but with the installation of the trans, im curious as to what can i also modify to make it faster..it has the b18 engine that i also plann on swapping, but after this inital job. but im on a $1000 buget to get my project car off the ground n i want to make the best of it.. so my q is this: what could i now do to the new trans to give me the boost i need?

You can switch the transmission for one with shorter gearing (I.E. a b16 cable trans), or replace all of the gears in the one you just bought with gears from another transmission with shorter gearing. Not sure if hydro trans gears are compatible with cable trans gears though.
