there is currently a line of integra type R's in japan. don't know abou this new body style however.

as far as the type r in america goes, i haven't heard anything; doubtful from what i've read in the past.

There has been rumors going around that they are going to be a RSX-R in the states, but that is a no go. Acura is not going to bring the Type R over for us less fortunate. Also the RSX-S is not the Integra Type R in Japan. The Type R has more HP and better handleing than the S could ever have from the factory. ANy way dont you think that Acura would call the S the Type R if it was the same?

hey guys check out the september issue of Honda Tuning there on the cover is a white type r civic an they mention about the type r rsx as well. If you dont have the magazine you can go to honda tuning magazine on the web and they have archives about the magazine. Check it out the cars are awesome.

WRONG.

in japan there is a Integra Type R 02+ and it is known as a RSX over here but the best model we get is the RSX-S.. japan doesnt have base model integras anymore for the dc5 they only have the DC5 Type R which is the new integra type r or as most of you would say RSX Type R

edit: o and the new ones.. have a different look to them but still look like an rsx and have about 10 more horse

Acura RSX -------- 160 HP
Acura RSX Type S -------- 200 HP

JDM
Honda Integra Type R (RSX Type R) --------- 220 HP

Here in the US the DC5 is known as the RSX. In Japan the DC5 is known as the Integra.

Less words, easier explanation.

Im not to sure about a USDM RSX Type R.

But I do know that the 05 RSX Type S specs are:

210HP & 143LBTQ !!!!

There is no USDM RSX Type R out on the streets as of yet. But in Japan its 220 HP and since the new Type S's HP has been bumped up to 210 HP, you can figure the JDM Type R's HP will be bumped as well. That's just a guess, i'm not too sure though.

rumors are rumors but just common sense would tell u that they cant release a so called "RSX TYPE-R" cuz they already have a Type S, that will ruin their entire Line Up, every line of cars USDM Honda/Acura have top of the line cars; the old integra has the Type-R; civic has the Si; TL Type-S etc...Type S has already establish itself as the top of the line for the RSX.

Good point.

I wonder if the new Type R in Japan will push the barrier for 4 cylinder engines. You figure Honda has already made the most powerful engines as far as HP per Liter (s2000 120HP per 1.0L, 240 HP 2.0L). I wonder if they will match it, or beat it.

wish honda will come up wit something new, something that will blow our minds even though we cant have it, bigger engine toyota and nissan have pass the 2.0L, when will honda join the 3.0L club

Who me? Na. No way dude. I'll be looking to take out the 05's. The RSX is a cool car no doubt, but I still take the DC2 any day.
