When and if you get an alarm have the shop install a kill switch for not only the starter but also on the ignition, and if you want togo all out have a glass break sensor installed, a back up battery, a prox sensor, hood/trunk pin, self powered siren, and get a 2 way 1 mile pager. Dont forget to also have a pizo siren installed inside the car. That would be a good start

And if u don't have 900 bucks laying around... :D a CHEAP but reliable thing that u can get just about anywhere for 20-40 bucks is a "truck club" it goes on ur steering wheel and prevents the wheel from being able to turn after a certain point
Cons: 1)visable 2)can be sawed through with enough time (people can also cut the steering wheel)
Pros: 1) visable 2) most of them are thick and would take a long time to cut through

Also a clutch lock and removable steering wheel are usually good investments until u have money for a GOOD alarm/killswitch/pager

thats right.
Also NEVER buy a cheap alarm (there's a reason why there cheap imo) unless u aren't too worried about ur car getting stolen or u are gonna upgrade to a better alarm later

Never compromise with a lower end alarm, it may seem like a good deal but its a waste of money most of the time.

EVERYTHING this guy said plus

TRUST me, I slacked and thought I was good with a Clifford alarm, and my car was stolen. right from in front of my house..right in the middle of the day..in one of the richest counties in the US..

All those go-fast parts I bought meant nothing when it was gone. Next Integra I get,,security #1

Kill switches are the cheapest way. The price of switches plus the time it takes you to put in.

I have posted my kill switch method on here somewhere but don't feel like repeating the details of it. Basically I used four 3 position toggle switches all wired to a necessity. Each three position sensor has 2 off positions and 1 on. For the car to start, you need to have all 4 switches in the correct position.

No, not much to write up lol. Wired 3 mini switches mounted into a very small metal casing then tacked them to it with a spot weld. Then wired fuel pump, starter and clutch switch to them. Then hide the casing somewhere good and ran dummy wires out of it as well. Then mount a main power switch in a different hidden location off the battery circuit.
