Another New Guy

Hey everyone,

I figured I would introduce myself, my name is Don and I am from the Western NY area. I have owned a teg before, 1994 ls which is now a rust bucket but still runs like a dream. I picked up a 98 civic DX for $300 two years ago which is still running strong. I just purchased a 2001 GS-R with 63k miles from Oregon, which is being shipped to NY as we speak. So as you can probably imagine i'm going nuts waiting for it to arrive. I've been trolling the forum for a few days, and will get some pics of the car as soon as it comes in!

Thanks! Not many details currently. Its a crazy story really, I haven't even seen the car in person since its 3000 miles away. I have a friend out there who went and looked at it and drove it for me to make sure it was a decent buy. It is all stock except it has some 18" rims on it which i'm not crazy about. I bought it dirt cheap because it has some damage to the rear end from an accident, but I'm no stranger to fixing bodywork. That is all I really know for now, but it was a southern california car for most of its years and then was driven in washington for 2 years so the body is perfect with no rust. I refuse to buy another car in NY because of all the salt!

ahh nice, it probably won't be hard to sell those wheels and get ones you actually like, since they're bigger you'll get more money for them. but sweet! can't wait for it to get to you!

Thanks for the welcome guys! I think that with the car having 63k on it, being meticulous with the maintenance should let me enjoy this car for a long time. Plus, I have never driven a teg with a VTEC so i'm super pumped to get my hands on it! Do you guys know of anyone in the western NY/ Rochester area on CI? Looking forward to learning a lot here!
