I'm looking for a 0bd1 ecu thats non vtec and will work for my b18a1 if chipped. I already know I need a jumper I just don't know the ecu number I need. And would I need a dizzy to match the ecu?

quick question, does it matter whether i get an obd1 ecu from a VTEC or non-VTEC car? i have a 99 LS teg and i need an obd1 to boost it and plan on putting a b16a head on after i boost it. just trying to decide between a P72 / P75, and if it helps I won't be putting the ecu on till i have hondata

If you plan on making it an LS/VTEC then you will need a VTEC ECU unless you get the Hondata S300. A P28 would be your best bet

yeah i'm definately getting S300, i've been thinking about getting an obd1 ecu with the S300 from phearable.net

Well with the S300 you can use a different output to activate VTEC. So you it doesn't have to be a VTEC ECU if you get the S300

Kinda. Some auto ECU's can be converted to work. Some of them are just simply not compatible. Best bet is to get an manual ECU so there is no other complications

You would still need someone to tune. Hondata won't come with any base maps or anything like that. But that is a great system to tune with

O.k. but if I get it and install it would my car run fine until I can go get it tuned?
