Hey again,

I've developed an annoying squeak in the steering wheel when I'm turning like a bearing is dry. Has anyone else had this problem? How do these wheels remove, It's been too cold to just go and there and dink with it lol.

Thanks!

lol ive developed that problem 2 months ago. One day after i washed my car and its been that way every since. Mines only squeaks when im hitting a corner really hard, so i just use it as a reminder to hit corners softer since its embarrassing as hell lol

Um, if you have a squeak like that, it must have something to do with the drive shaft, on that side of the car... Is it a squeak, or a series of clicks? If it is a squeak, then maybe it's the wheel bearing going out. May just need to be re-greased! Check your manual... It should tell you how to correct the problem... I would get a chilton, or haynes manual, and refer to that section, regarding your issue...

It's actually inside the sterring wheel. You can't hear it outside and you can feel it kind of grinding. Was just curious if anyone else ran into this problem. It could be the steering link but I think its the grease between the wheel and the link thats drying out.

Thanks!

Oh! In the steering wheel. I would say, yes, probably the steering link! :) I say, if you pop off the front cover of the steering wheel, there is probably a castle nut, with a cotter pin that you can remove, and pull the wheel off. I say grease anything moving! :)

Haha that was my plan for today but I got called into work. Apparently this job doesnt believe in days off. Is it just that one screw on the backside of the wheel and it pops off?

Thanks!

I am not positive, I am sure you could locate a diagram, or a tear down of it... I can do a search and find it, and let you know...

i ran into the same problem with my 90 GS. when i hit a corner hard, its kinda like a squeak mixed with a whine. but, ive noticed my power steering has been slowly loosing power too. im not sure if theres any relationship with them, i havent had the time to look. but its a possibility?

I think it's the power steering. I had my sisters Integra and it was squeaking so I put some more power steering fluid in and it stopped, but like another 3 weeks later it came back
