Drive your car
I have a '9'9 GSR with the factory deck and I proceeded to install my amp just how I've done on many other cars before. I used a typical wiring kit, a JL audio 12", and some stupid 700 watt DUAL 2 channel amp I used in my old cars setup(which worked well)
Everything is properly wired up, the low/high converter(speaker wire to rca converter thing) wired up to my front left and right speakers, my remote wire wired to the switched +12V source, the RCA's to the converter and amp, and battery cable where it belongs. The amp turns on, no warning lights or dimming, but I do not get any sound from the sub. The amp is a 2 channel and properly bridged for 1 sub. Could an inadequate ground cause this to happen? I've tried other RCA's, changing the connections of the wires at the harness, I am so frustrated that I do not know how to proceed. Please help :???:
It is grounded on a 10mm bolt that holds down some sort of sheet metal under the carpet in the rear on the passenger side near the seat. Any input is greatly appreciated cause I dont know wtf to do lol.
