Alpine Speaker questions

Alright so i'm upgrading the speakers in my car and my brother has all Alpine stuff, Speakers, Sub, Amps, Head Unit. I like the way it all sounds but i don't want serious audio like him so i was looking at these

http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-SPR-60C-Audio-Component-System/dp/B004VBIEZW

I was wondering if i can use those without adding an amp. I was googling all kinds of stuff and someone said i would need baffles which i'm guessing this is what that is?

http://www.amazon.com/Metra-Speaker-Baffles-Practical-Affordable/dp/B005M1Q25E/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1316648020&sr=8-6

I've also googled to make sure 6.5inch is the right size which is what those all are.

Obviously i'm a super noob at sound systems i've always been performance but i want alittle something to listen to. Also i'm pretty set on Alpine Type-R's since that's i've always liked everyone i listened to. So goodluck trying to convince me otherwise! So would those speakers work with those baffles?

they should work for ya, i would run an amp to them.
you dont need anything special to fit them in the doors
those "baffles" seem to be some sort of padding that will most and likely give u a little better bass response out of the speaker. if you choose to buy them they seem like it would also work(waste of money, id get sounds deadener on the whole door)
BUT there is already a plastic piece that sits behind the speakers on the front doors, HARD TO SAY if you will need to mess with them to make the alpines work. i had to cut mine up alittle because the magnet on my doors speakers where alittle too big

at the end of the day the alpines should work for you, dont get the baffles now. buy the speakers test them out see if u like them and if u dont try the baffles but i think you should be good with out them....Hope that helps

Alright well i got this head unit for free someone traded it for my oem radio because everything is stock on their car except the radio was stolen. Brand new one too :) http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/cde-125bt/

Probably going to get those speakers I linked you at first. If you can link me to a amplifier that will power it all that would be awesome. Don't want to spend to much on a amp probably 100-150 if possible. Thanks and +reppin you

nice looks like u got the good end of that deal

as far as amp, theres not too many out there that i would run just FOR TWO doors speakers
i would go for something like this it does 80watts rms per channel, you alpines will be good on 80-100watts it will make them sound pretty good
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_24110_MB-Quart-ONX4.80.html

but look for an amp that does 90-100watts rms at 4ohms.

if u got two sets of those components that would be perfect, you could still run that amp up there
just a thought, i might get myself a bigger one of that kind

type R's are the best bang for your buck

If i got that alpine amp that's $100 more than i wanted to spend total on a sound system. But if it's worth it i'll probably go ahead and get it.

that amp would be good for the speakers. it wont be pushing them to their limit but should meet the RMS rating. i've got a rockford fostgate 4 channel for my speakers rated for up to 700 amps i think is what its performance sheet said. i need two of these or these for my subs. alpine is the way to go for sure.

You can just install them without it. They just will sound better with an amp.
