So i was wondering which speakers would be the best for the back and the front of a 1997 teg LS 2 door. Im talking about speakers where you dont have to make special housing out of mdf so it wont have clearance issues. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

In my personal experience and what i have sold ( I am a car audio salesman) I would go with something like the JL Audio TR650CXi its a real efficient speaker and will fit right in no mods. The speaker will also come with adapter plates just in case you want to put them in a different vehicle. If you can give me some more info i can give you a much better suggestion just cause there are so many factors you have to take in.

-Are you gonna run an amplifier?
-If so how much power?
-What is your price range?
-Do you want to run components up front?

I dont plan on running an amp for them but if i end up running power to them it would probably be only like 300 watts. I'd like to run componets up front and my price range is like $100 to $150. I could go higher but only if it is worth the investment.

thanks

Amplified speakers will be a little more work with wiring, do you just want plug and play ones? Also depends on price range. On the cheaper end of things I've had Pioneer speakers and they do a great job for the price, and then on the higher end I've had JL, Polk, and Harmon Kardon, although the last two I think a lot of it is hype with those brands. I'd agree with the JL suggestion, but look around for what you want. Oh, and the speaker dimensions is 6 1/2" all around. Good luck.
