Aftermarket Header questions

Does header really improve performance? Does this make a big difference or only little differences? Which header would you recommend? Will it be louder with it on?

An exhaust header is a performance product that replaces your factory exhaust manifold and improves an engine's performance by allowing air to flow more freely. The easier an engine breathes the more power it produces. Headers generally use piping with a wider diameter than factory tubing, which allows more air to pass through the exhaust system than factory. A header is one of the easiest bolt-on modifications you can make to increase horsepower, making an effective use of money if your goal is to quickly gain horsepower.

i would have to say dc sport, headmen or hooker headers, but im not sure if hooker makes them for tuners, i just know they make a bad ass header for muscle cars

4-2-1 header makes most mid range power, 4-1 is high end power

Thanks for the info. I wanna get DC carb legal headers due to the fact that I live in the state of California which requires carb numbers for any aftermarket parts you add on. Are DC sport headers carb legal?

If you have a B18b1 you can get away with a JDM ITR 4-1 header. Remember GSR and B1 are not the same on the down pipe.

A Dc header is carb legal, just remember the better the craftsmanship the better the part is i.e. longevity & function . "You get what you pay for."
