Advice on Lambo doors???? Help

Ok I have a question hopeing someone on here can help me answer.

First off I was searching the web about a month ago whenI came accross one of them " car sponsorship" websites www.carsponsorshipsonline.com any way. I own a 1997 Ford F150 pickup and my girlfriend owns a 1993 acura Integra now I put an application in for both of our cars guess I thought I was rich? (cost me 40 dollars)

To my disbelief I was contacted by vertical doors and they said I was awarded a sponsorship for the Integra was a little ticked mine wasn't picked but hey.

Anyway they sent me the hinges and a place to go get them installed at. My girlfriend was allright with it at first. Then the body ship place says they have to roll fenders and do some modifications that she doesn't agree too.

So we end up leaving the body shop because she didn't want her car "cut on"

so what I need to know is if anyone has ever done lambo doors on their acura. This is a bolt on kit. I think the guy was confused thinking it was a universal kit as he said there would be welding involved.

Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appriciated as they have put a completion date they expect this done by. and I would like to ease her mind. I assured this company that I would meet there expectations I even bragged on myself. Now I am suppose to call them back and say I am sending back your item?

Thanks in advance! MADMIKE

Now I am sorry if anyone takes offense to me listing on their sites. I am an avid member of a forum for my F150 but none of them could offer any advice. Thank you!

yeah they say they are direct bolt on and the guy from vertical doors says they are just bolt on and making some wires in the door longer but the body guy shop owner says different. I beleive he may have done a car like this before but was probably using one of them universal kits

actually I put her radio in for her and It wasn't done right and I havent stopped hearing about that yet, And it's been almost 4 years!

I have been working with this sponsorship place about my sponsorship and things are actually looking in the right direction. But how are they going to respond if I do not fill my obligations with vertical doors?

They definately arent going to give me one. Another bad thing is that I had to fax them a paper saying that I will display there logo and attend some shows. And one of the main reasons they chose to sponser this car was that they needed pics of them installed for there websites and catalogs. So If I do not get them done they will no and my waiver says if I do not comply or if I sell the car within 12 months I owe them like 1200.00

Now they are Paying for the instalation 100% it will not cost us a dime but when the guy was telling my girlfriend he had to hack this cut that roll this extend that, That's when she said Oh No.

Now she loves her Integra just as I am sure everyone on here does. But there has to be someone on here that has installed these or Knows someone.

I just would like to ease her mind.

The people at the sponsorship site have been real cool when they called and told me that we got sponsored for the vertical door kit. I explained that I submitted an application for my truck he looked into it and we are working out the details to get me a set of 18" rims and tires for my truck.

Now if we default on this I can kiss that good bye! I WANT MY TIRES!

theyll sponsor anyone. Dont do it, most of those kits require cutting jams and shit. Destroy the car for doors that lift up? not worth it to me

Now saying all the above I guess I'd be being selfish to say that she should go and tear into "her baby"
and I do not want that I'd rather just send the crap back. But hopefully someone can give me some leads that may have had this done before.

red98teg great slogan
In order to be OLD and WISE, you first have to be YOUNG and STUPID!

I am indeed young and stupid I need to find a sponser for some good seatbelts because if we get these things installed I am going to be "rollin" with the doors up and open and hopefully I will live to be old and wise!

if this don't work I'll try and mod them for my truck and send them a pic saying I was also sponsored from truck body kits and they transformed my acura into a truck!

I've heard issues with the vertical door kits hardware. I read somewhere they werent including strong enough hardware and the bolts were bending and breaking.

I would ditch the kit, its just some extra weight for a pain in the ass to get in and out of the car.

I remember a kid here in town got them on his 1st gen dsm... lol, the driver door hydraulics weren't strong enough, so the door wouldn't stay up by itself. lol!

I think your girlfriend is the one with the brains. You should listen to her and sell those pieces of shit. They look like ass man, trust us there's way better things you could do to the integra. Why don't you have her join and we'll lead her in the right direction if she wants to mod her car. ;)
